Acoustic Treatment & Design

The success of any space, whether it is a studio, auditorium, multipurpose hall or home theatre, will depend on its acoustics. Make sure you are getting the best acoustical performance out of your room.

We have technical know-how to supply the products you need and the advice to make sure you are using the right products for the right application.

Design with Ease

There are two basic types of acoustic treatment - absorbers and diffusors.

The primary considerations of acoustic treatment are to keep sound from leaking into or out of a room as well as keep outside sounds. Proper acoustic treatment can absorb or diffuse sound in the room to avoid ringing and flutter echoes and to prevent standing waves and acoustic interference from affecting the frequency response of recording studios / listening rooms.

Diffusors are used to reduce or eliminate repetitive echoes that occur in rooms having parallel walls and a flat ceiling. Diffusion is often used in addition to absorption to tame reflections.

Midrange and High end Frequency Absorbers The most effective absorber for midrange and high frequencies is rigid fiberglass. Besides being extremely absorbent they are also fireproof.

Low Frequencies Absorbers - Bass Traps Bass traps in recording studios and control rooms are needed to minimize standing waves and acoustic interference which distort the room's low frequency response.
